Unable to access to the first comments on a post

Just got iPhone 16 pro max and cannot access the first comments on news posts, or posts that I’m interested in

I’ve tried everything

got in touch with Apple and no problem there can someone help please

I’m not very tech savvy so keep it really simple

Did you check the Preferences in your personal settings?

Tap on the Avatar icon in the right corner above, then tap on -> Preferences, scroll down to -> Other Preferences -> Default thread sort -> make sure it is set to -> Newest.

Then tap on "Submit" to save the changes.
