I have inherited a Homepod. I tried to do the hard reset by pressing the top of the homepod for 10 seconds until it turns red, but doing so only gets Siri to say "I'm having trouble finding the internet"
How can I get the Homepod on to my wifi when it does not appear in my Home App? I can't get it onto my Home app without first resetting it.
Help.

You need to reset it to set up and use with your own Apple ID, then it will connect to your wifi.

Yes, that's what I'm trying to do. But the hard reset instructions are not working. All the Homepod will do is say "I'm having trouble finding the internet" while pressing the top. No hard reset despite holding the top down for well over 10 seconds (I kept pressing for at least a full minute).
Is there any other method to do a hard reset?
