Having trouble exporting multiple compound clips in compressor.

MBP M1 Max 32gbram - osx 15.3.1

FCPX- 11.0.1

Compressor 4.9

Working on an external SSD with plenty of space

I am trying to export multiple compound clips from final cut to compressor using the Send to Compressor function. The clips are all like 2-5 seconds, have minor color correction and some have the built-in stabilizer. In compressor im using the Apple Devices 4K ( HEVC 10-bit) preset.

There are roughly 300 clips. I tried that first and just got the pin wheel. I tried 50 clips and they just sat in the active queue with the time ticking but no progress. Now im only trying 12 clips and getting the same thing. They are just sitting in the active queue with time ticking and no progress.

What am I doing wrong?

UPDATE:

I just updated compressor to 4.10

and FCPX to 11.1

I'm trying just one clip at a time and getting a pinwheel - Compressor not responding.

I'll export with Final Cut for now, but I always thought Compressor was the best option for batch exporting files.

I have never been a fan of “Send to Compressor”. Instead, you may want to consider exporting right from FCP using Compressor Settings. Any settings that you create in Compressor can be used directly in FCP. Just create a destination with “Compressor Settings” and choose the setting you want.
