Why can't I project my Freeform page from my iPad?

I wanted to work with my team on a project with freeform.

I connected my iPad to the projector with an HDMI cable.

The image on the projector was locked in the home screen (no icon shown) and I could not project my freeform page.

What did I make wrong?
