Remote management processes in Activity monitor
Hey, I see a couple of remote management processes on activity monitor on my mac, one is remotemanagementagent, and remotemanagementd, alongside another 2 with names like “screensharingd”. I have remote management and screen sharing settings all off, is it normal to see these processes in activity monitor, or is this a sign of remote management? I have confirmed i also have no other users on my mac and have no MDM profiles. Should i be worried, or is it normal to see these processes currently running, even with all the settings ticked off? I fear these may have appeared after a software I installed a couple of years ago, but i’m just trying to make sure it’s nothing malicious. (it was stupid of me to download a cracked app, i was young and didn’t think it through)
(they all sit at 0.0% cpu usage, and range from 0.15-0.18 cpu time)
I have ran Etrecheck and Malwarebytes scans and both came out clear, i have noticed no EXTREME slowdowns, no ad pop-ups, etc. But, its still eerie to see these processes, not knowing if they’re supposed to be there or not.
Thanks, and looking forward to a response.
