restoring from iCloud in photos app

Hi, I just bought 200 gb of iCloud storage, and there's a "restoring from iCloud" in progress in my photos app. It came up before I could back up all of my photos. Will now all of my not backed up photos get deleted when the restore progress is done? I turned off my wifi to stop it from loading because I'm scared I'll lose my not-backed-up photos.
