Why is AirPlay not detecting devices on my iPad mini after an update?

airplay was working on my IPAD mini until it updated. Now airplay does not see any devices it did before. My wifes full size ipad works fine with our TV and so does my android devices. I have checked the settings on the IPAD and all is as it was and I have even restored it and set it up as a new device and still not working
