Can I Use GarageBand to Create a Pre-Recorded 'Radio' Show?

Hi, I've dabbled with Adobe Audition and Audacity, but the former is too expensive for me and the latter doesn't really produce the results I'm after. On the face of it GarageBand looks easier to use but I can't find a template for what I'm trying to create. All I think I need to be able to do is import tracks on to one stereo track and then do voice links on an another mono or stereo track. Maybe I'm overthinking it but I'm not that good at working in a DAW environment. Thanks to anyone who may be able to help.

Hi Steven,

yes you can use GarageBand for your purpose. I did something similar some years ago to create a podcast for a local community group. This was essentially recording interviews (I think I used GarageBand for that too) and edited the resulting audio with the addition of bits of music to keep the listeners awake.

If you are familiar with the software you mentioned you will also find GarageBand satisfactory to record and edit your audio.

Apple has a user guide macOS app user guides: GarageBand for MacUser Guide - Apple Support

and Record multiple audio takes in GarageBand on Mac - Apple Support will also be useful.

I'm not sure what templates you need, if any, but there are many examples to be found but you can also create your own. I didn't use templates but just edited together several audio tracks and it worked well.
