Most often, thieves know to put a stolen phone in a faraday bag to prevent them from being tracked. Statistically, stolen phones are rarely ever found. All you can do is what is in this support article, which presumes you had Find My enabled before the phone was stolen --> If your iPhone or iPad was stolen - Apple Support

Please Note: I would recommend contacting your carrier and ask them to blacklist the phone. And if you get any messages purporting to be from Apple telling you your phone has been found and all you need to do is validate your credentials, THIS IS A SCAM. Apple does not send such message, nor do they get involved in lost or stolen devices. Ignore any such messages.

The bottom line when "Offline" appears on your phone.....is that one or more of the following are true:

  • The battery has run down
  • The phone was powered off
  • The phone does not have an Internet connection where it is currently located......likely because a thief has wrapped the phone in aluminum foil or placed the phone in a Faraday bad to prevent the phone from either sending or receiving a signal

Unfortunately, there is nothing that you can do to control this other than checking a few times each day to see if the status of the phone might have changed

If the phone remains "offline" for another 4-5 days, you have to realistic about things and realize that it is unlikely that the phone will ever appear in Find My, since only a tiny percentage of phones are ever recovered.
