What are the two buttons under the charging port on my iPad 7th Gen screen?

Those are Control Center icons. They are there to indicate that is where you swipe down to open Control Center. They will eventually not be displayed (after they have given you some time to learn that is where you access Control Center). They aren't actually buttons and don't function.
