How to clean an iPhone using only water and Apple's polishing cloth?

Hey I'm looking to clean my iPhone without any things like pads with alcopropyl stuff and such. Preferably only water etc.

I will most likely buy the "Polishing cloth" from the official site of apple. Do you guys know how to use it? do i need to put water on that cloth or keep it completely dump in order to fully clean my iphone?
