Hi everyone,
I’m currently using a Mac Studio with the M2 chip, but I’m running into serious performance issues when importing 8K ProRes RAW footage. Even a 1-minute video takes an unusually long time to import.
Is this expected behaviour, or could I be doing something wrong? Any recommendations or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Where are you importing from? How is the camera or device connected to your mac?
And to which program? Final Cut Pro? Are you transcoding the files on import?

Hi There,
I am currently importing via: DJI PRO SSD 1TB
Recorded from DJI Ronin 4D-8k
I am importing into Final Cut Pro.
No transcoding on import, my system has 950gb of free space roughly as I keep everything stored on external hard drives.
