My older Watch showed next upcoming Sunrise or Sunset time. Not my new one?

I recently updated my Apple Watch to a new Watch 10 running watchOS 11.5.

The complication I had below '6' on my earlier Watch was sunrise/sunset where the time the next one of those two events would be displayed. If that's still available, I can't find it in the face editing complications pool.

If I pick Astronomy, the only option I can see is moon phase. If I pick Weather, it's all local current stuff like temp, AQI, wind, and such. Neither of those has sunrise/sunset. If sunrise/sunset is hiding somewhere else in the main list of complications, I'm not seeing it.

Anyone know how to get sunrise/sunset times back in that complication?

Thanks,

Jazzbo

It has me in San Jose and the sunrise/sunset elements have times listed.

Here's a twist: Once I visited the World Clock app on the Watch to check that out, the clock Face changed to tell me that sunset will be at 8:25pm this evening!

Whew! Keep that answer in hand after all this work.

Hotcha, Zachyy! I like your problem determination and resolution skills, especially over a thread-based chat session.

Cheers (for this time? hahaha),

Jazzbo

Yep, there it is! However...

All it shows late this morning is a risen sun icon and the words Sunrise/Sunset. I'm convinced it used to show me when this evening's sunset would happen (e.g. a time stamp). Am I aging into a dotard's slipping memory, and it never did that? (hehe) Perhaps I am merely misremembering.

Thanks, again, Zachyy!

Oh hey again, I didn't realize I was responding to the same person! You're welcome again! The complication should show either Sunrise or Sunset, depending on which is upcoming.

That's not what I'm seeing, anyhow. It's just an icon of the sun with horizon and both words, Sunrise/Sunset.

Does your watch have an active connection so I can fetch that location data? Have you tried removing and adding back the watch face?

Hmmm...

When I'm near my iPhone, they talk to each other. Is that an "active connection"?

How would I set things up so you might "fetch that location data"?

Thanks again for all your attention today!

Nevermind, the Sunset/Sunrise complication uses the Clock app and not the Weather app, which shouldn’t require a connection.

On your iPhone go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Location Services > Apple Watch Faces > Make sure it is set to When Using the app and precise location. Do the same for Clock.

Also note that the Watch and iPhone seem to know where I am, since the time-of-day and all the weather data are spot on for San JosƩ, CA (in fact, the WX information is better and more accurate than what I usually see at the SJ Mercury News website).

Sorry to flood all this at the thread in dribs and drabs, but more thoughts keep coming to my (so-called) mind.
