Google Maps in CarPlay won’t reroute in my GMC Terrain

Once google maps chooses a route, it continues to show that route even if I detour It won’t reroute I have a terrain and it always worked It does work using my iPhone in my husband’s car, but not in mine It shows me on the road I’m on, but the blue line is on the original road I was supposed to take
