How to select a single day from month view on iPad vs iPhone devices

I’m posting this to share a discovery.

To switch from the month to a day view on my iPhone, I just have to click once on the day number, but on my iPad Pro, I have to double click.

It had been somewhat frustrating because I hadn’t been able to figure out what was going on, and I even submitted a product feedback request. As a work around, I would have to click “Week” view and then scroll to the week with the day I wanted.

Finally, I contacted support and was told one has to double click on the iPad devices.

It’s not clear what value double clicking provides for the iPad over the single click needed for the iPhone, so I also submitted a feature request.
