Not making us enter our phone’s PIN when we are at home

I recently switched from Android to iPhone. I really miss one thing - not having to unlock my phone when at my house.

I have a number of apps controlling various devices (lights, thermostats, audio systems, etc). On my Android phone, I was allowed to designate my home as where it would stay unlocked, unless I decided to lock it. When your checking or adjusting devices threw out the day, that’s a major convenience.

i wish the iPhone would offer that too

you can suggest they do so using their feedback channels

the reason they have not added the feature so far would likely be related to if a person steal your

phone and then follow you home and while hiding in the bushes the phone believing it was at home

would let the thief into the phone allowing him or her to remove the activation lock enabling the thief to take over the phone as their own.
