Apple TV+ app won’t play downloaded movies on my MacBook Pro

I bought 4 movies before going on a road trip and downloaded them on WiFi so that I could watch them offline on the way. The movies will open but only show black screens. One of the movies won’t open at all. All were downloaded 100%. I’ve tried restarting my laptop and nothing changes.
