Option to add debit or credit card to Apple Wallet is unavailable

Hi,

I'm trying to setup up apple wallet for my daughter with her debit card. We're in the region where apple pay work, she's over 13, phone is up to standards and updated, it's not even about the card type itselfe (it's mastercard btw and bank is supporting apple pay).

Problem is, whenever i hit + in wallet i have only option add previous cards, whilst on my phone i got previous cards and below to that is credit or debit card - on her phone those 2 are not visible.

Anyone knows how to fix this issue?

We are all Apple users, like yourself, in this (user-to-user) community. Have often seen this situation occur with others, and the linked articles have often helped determine the cause in the particular situation, so it could be overcome.

Eg: Often an iPhone needed an iOS update for the latest security for Apple Pay.

If you haven't: Restarting the iPhone before trying again may help restore order.

If you read the articles, and Apple's requirements or methods are not working for you, there is a link provided for contacting the experts (online chat / phone / email etc.) at Apple Pay Support from their website.

What country are you in? While Apple has its rules for Apple Wallet, nearly all countries and regions have banking laws/ regulations governing the use of electronic wallets. Many countries do not allow use of e-wallets until the age of 14, 15, or even 16. This is true for many countries in the EU and some parts of Asia.

No, that’s not it. On her bankning app there’s an option to add the card to the wallet. It’s just it’s not present in the wallet it selfe.

also it’s not an issue on my phone.
