iphone photos not syncing to mac ventura. I took those photos days ago and they still have now shown up.
I’ve had this issue on and off in the past and can’t remember how I fixed it. I shouldn’t have to fix it! Photos should just sync.

OK, so they are halfway there. Now, go to the Photos application on the Mac to check a few things. (My description may not match Ventura's Photos exactly, as I don't have a Ventura system to test.)
Check that iCloud Photos is enabled -- Look in the iCloud panel of the Settings (or maybe Preferences) item of the Photos menu. If not enabled, enable it if you can.
Check the current sync status -- Look at the bottom of the All Photos view below the counts of photos and videos. Does it say something reassuring like "Synced with iCloud Just Now"? If not, let us know what it does say.
yes, I needed to enable iCloud photos. I don’t know how it got turned off. It was very strange that I was missing several photos from a few days ago, but that photos I took yesterday were there. It took a couple of hours, but eventually all of my photos turned up, so now I am happy.

Have the photos shown up on iCloud.com yet? The answer to that could help you determine where the problem might lie.
I see them on iCloud! But they are not all in the photos app. That is where I need to work on them
