How to factory reset a HomePod(2nd generation) with previous owner's account still logged in?

I tried following some instructions online but did not work. Can anyone advise?

Thanks in advance for any insight you may be able to offer me 🙏

The seller can also remove it from their Apple account by using their iPhone. You don’t need to go anywhere as long as you can contact the seller by phone.

To do so - seller can go into Settings, then tap on their name (at the top of the Settings screen, then scroll down to find the HomePod - tap on it, then select “Remove From Account.”

If they do that, you’ll be able to set it up on your Apple account.
