Why is my card being used instead of Apple Cash for app purchases?

I switched from Android to Apple a few weeks ago, and everything seems to be going fine. Until I try to make a payment in any sort of app(mainly games). The payment method is Apple Cash, and I’ve double checked this multiple times. But despite that, it still takes money from my card, which was on my samsung phone before, but the card isn’t even registered on this phone. So I’m just really confused since I have enough money in Apple Cash, but it just refuses to take anything from there.
