Onscreen Accessible Keyboard Suggestions Stopped working

I have a 2021 MacBook Pro, macOS Sequia Version 15.5.

3 to 5 days ago typing suggestions stopped working on accessibility onscreen keyboard, Its vital the onscreen keyboard. Typing suggestions help to speed up typing, I have to use it due me being paralysed from the neck down, A C4 Quadriplegic. My keyboard which I designed worked perfectly 3 to 5 days ago when it just stopped working no updates been done, No changes's to any settings, Changes to keyboard settings, Panel editor nothing. My laptop is the only thing I can control, My only bit of indolence & my only means of communication to the outside world.

I tried everything in the screen shot nothing changed.

Could you please help me get this working again?

Thanks for the info I appreciate it.

I sent an email to the Accessibility Helpdesk there reply is at the bottom.

I can understand why there aren't many responses it's not a topic that comes in conversation everyday.

Is there anyway of resetting all the keyboards back to there original state? I made my keyboard in 2022 starting with ANSI I then added subtracted different keys & changed ket colours. I very much doubt that would make any difference to word suggestions this long after but maybe resetting the keyboards to there If possible? Could make a difference?

Apple Accessibility want me chat to member from support, The only problem with talking to somebody from Apple is I have a tracheostomy, I get quite a lot of air escaping from around where my trachy goes into my throat limiting how many words I can in one breath if that makes sense? Unless I get one of my carers to speak on my behalf?

Just checked on my Mac Book Air with Sequoia 15.5 and the suggestions are working on my Access Keyboard. They only show when my cursor is in a text box - which I guess you know already.

I cannot think of any settings that affect this. You could try toggling the keyboard suggestions on and off. Click three dots in top right, choose Toolbars, and then click Suggestions. A long shot - but you never know.

Otherwise it may be a question for the accessibility Helpdesk. Email: accessibility@apple.com Send them you post and see what they say.

Thanks for replying.

Yeah I tried everything, Tried other keyboards, Turned suggestions off & on,nothing works, I also sent an email to the address you gave me, Thanks for that. How long do they typically take to respond?

I'm surprised more people haven't got answers or Ideas what to do?

Hello Neal119

The accessibility Helpdesk are usually fairly quick - not immediate. I would give them a few days as they may need to do a bit of research before responding.

Unfortunately I do not think these forums are monitored by many people using the accessibility features so there is not usually a flow of immediate responses. It can take a while for anyone to respond.

Let me know if you get a response. I am monitoring this thread for updates.
