Why do AirPods 4 flash white when already paired with iPhone 15 Pro?

my airpods 4 are flashing white when i opened the case, i know that when it flashes white it means the headphones are trying to find a device to pair, why is this happening if they are already paired with my iphone 15 pro, the iphone and airpods have the latest updates
