How to change the order of new AirDropped photos in the Photos app?

In the past when i airdrop photos and videos, they all go to the top of my pictures, making it easy to find them.

but for the past year or so they going all in random locations within my pictures , probably according to the date created, making it impossible to find.

how can i change it back so my latest airdropped goes to the top ???

Open Photos > In the bottom left tap the edit icon > Select Sort by Recently Added.

If you follow Zachyy's suggestion, then the most recently added pictures will all appear together, but they won't be literally at the Top of the Library in iOS18. They will go to the Bottom of the Library-- what you see when you first open Photos.

You can't change the sort order from newest at bottom, for either sort by Date Added or by Date Created.

Be sure to pay attention to the new Filter choices, or you may not see what you expect:
