iOS 18.5 Calendar Showing Expired Meeting

I just found a weird issue with the calendar app.

I created a repeating work meeting in outlook with a weekly repeat. All worked well there. The issue is what it was set to end on May 27, 2025 with the end repeat on that date. But in my calendar and other people who have iPhone it still shows one more meeting today June 2, before it finally expires. Should it not have had the last meeting listed as May 27th.

Why is the calendar doing last meeting is May 27th + one week?
