SOLUTION: FCPX error "error -536870186"

Found a thread on here about Final Cut Pro X error -536870186 and wanted to provide some information on solutions:

For context;

• I am running the latest version of FCPX (11.1)
• My project and the media files within the project are saved to a 5TB external HDD Hard Drive.
• I am exporting video and audio in Apple ProRes 422 format

A couple things to try if you have this error code:

Delete Generated Clip Files

(File > Delete Generated Clip Files > Delete Optimized and/or Proxy Media)

Reset FCPX preferences

(Quit FCPX, Hold Command+Option and launch FCPX)

Check for frame render issues

(Final Cut Pro > Settings > Set Time Display to "Frames" and check for errors) If your project is rendering, you should see the dotted lines above your media in the timeline.

**Check Compound Clips**

This worked for me. I created a couple of compound clips within the project that needed to finish rendering before the main timeline could export. Ensure that all compound clips render properly and try the export again.
