I notice that Rudegar's first link has me as the 'top-ranking reply' and would repeat that it is simply not worth the effort. It will work for a time, but then the updates stop, or something else happens, meaning that you have to start from the beginning. More to the point, with a virtual environment (e.g. Parallels) you are supported by both Apple and Microsoft. My 'Vintage' 2017 iMac still runs the latest Parallels + Windows 11 with no problems, though rather slower than my M1 Macbook Air. One thing I would say is to try out whatever software you will use on a trial basis, and make sure it works for you before you pay for it. For nearly everything, you will need Windows 11 Pro to have all facilities. You are given a little time to pay for that. I hope you find a good solution.
