Pages on my MacBook Pro is not responding after an update

i had a lot of tabs open because Pages wouldn't let me name the documents. - This happened after an update - it's been more than a month, maybe longer. I've reported, I've rebooted, I shut down my Macbook, and I think I have done two updates since the problem starts.

You should be using Pages v14.4 with macOS Sequoia v15.5. Is that the case?

Press and hold the shift key while launching Pages after it hangs, crashes, or you need to force quit. That prevents it from loading its last saved execution state. Then try opening the same Pages document again.

Where were you attempting to save the Pages document(s)? It should not prevent you from saving a given document to the local filesystem in your home directory.

Thank you - I am using Sequoia 15.5 - but my pages kept messing up. It's been happening since the first update in 2025 - I've updated twice, but I was able to find a post of yours saying to reboot, hold the shift key, then open Pages App - and it should open. It did, and every file opened, I was able to close out every open page, rename them all and closed the program normally. Thank you so much. From here on I will seek solutions from the Apple help page... thank you so very much. You are a genius. :) oh, and I am now following you. Thank you.
