How do I fix my HomePod mini and stop it from flashing orange light?

My HomePod Mini is not usable with a constant flashing orange light. I followed the instructions to restore the device using my MacBook Pro. The restore completed, but the flashing orange light remains. It has the original power brick and I replaced it with one of my other mini’s bricks and still flashes orange. Please help! The nearest Apple Store is too far away 🥲

Please use a 20W USB-C Power adapter. See: Identify status lights on HomePod mini - Apple Support

Orange flashing light

If an orange light shines on and off repeatedly on the top of HomePod mini, then HomePod mini is connected to a computer, or is plugged into a power adapter that isn’t rated 20W (9V ⎓ 2.22A).

Plug your HomePod mini into power using a 20W (9V ⎓ 2.22A) adapter.
