How do I address suspicious Apple iCloud activity and Apple Pay transactions?

We have noticed that your Apple iCloud id was recently used at "APPLE STORE - CA" for $143.95, paid by Apple Pay Pre Authorization. Also some suspicious sign in request and apple pay

it’s a hoax. I phoned them

now what do I do?

Block the number and don't respond to any further unknown communication you may get. As long as you did not provide them your personal information, logins, or credit card information etc, then you're okay. For future reference, do not ever interact or call the scam numbers you get. Simply delete and block the message.

If you phoned them and provided personal information, then your account has been compromised. Please indicate what information you provided for assistance on which accounts need to be secured.


If you did not provide any personal information, just by calling them makes them aware that you are easily susceptible to believe the messages sent to you, so you will likely receive many more similar messages.

It is actually pretty simple, NEVER call a number or click a link in any email/message and provide personal information.
