Apple Devices and Apple Music App not syncing playcounts from iPod Classic 7th gen on Windows 10

Hi all,

I recently tried to sync my iPod Classic 7th gen via the Apple Devices app, and for the most part, it worked fine. I was able to sync podcasts and music to my iPod.

However, the song play counts from my iPod weren't getting synced to my playlist.

I tested numerous times by playing a song on my iPod then syncing via Apple Devices and it still wouldn't update the play counts.

I've recently rolled back to using iTunes and play counts have been syncing just fine.

Is this a limitation with the iPod Classic and the Apple Devices/Apple Music app or am I doing something wrong? I felt like I've exhausted all trouble shooting suggestions and now I'm out of ideas.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
