Multi-environment Puzzle: Command Click using Mac Keyboard and Mouse with Windows
I work from home using a Mac, with a Magic Keyboard and mouse, to log into a virtual Windows machine via VMWare Horizon Client and am having one issue related to keyboard compatibility that I haven't found a way to solve. Specifically, I am looking for a way to mimic the Mac OS behavior of the Command+Left Click to select multiple items in the Windows environment. In Windows (via Horizon Client), I want to be able to select non-adjacent cells in Excel for example, or non-consecutive files in Windows Explorer. On a Windows machine I would use Ctrl+click to do this, but using my Mac keyboard and mouse in Windows, the Ctrl+click opens a context menu instead. If I use Command+click to multi-select (as I would in Mac OS), it turns on scroll lock.
I have tried remapping the Control and Command keys via Modifier Keys settings. It doesn't work. Any ideas on how to change this behavior would be much appreciated. This is driving me crazy and becoming very close to a dealbreaker for using a Mac for my work.
