HomePod not playing music from iTunes collection when asked

Hello to all fellow HomePod Music Players!

I have been not able to ask Siri to play songs and/or albums on request from my iTunes collection (not Apple Music Pay Monthly Subscription as I do not have one).

I would say "Siri, play Song Title by Artist" and Siri would reply "Now playing Song Title by Artist"....

Then recently this would not happen anymore.

I would say "Siri, play Song Title by Artist" BUT Siri would then start to reply "Now playing Song Title by Artist... Sorry there seemed to be a problem with Apple Music" ......

I have disconnected the HomePod/restarted it/reinstalled/renamed it, etc as per the guidance BUT it is still it is not working.....

Any ideas anyone ????

Thanks !

they don't support playing from a shared lib like itunes or the new music app at all

so you can only play music you purchased from itunes and then it streams it from apples servers, music you added to your itunes / music app it can't access.

if the issues you experience is with music that you did purchase from apple, then if it was me then I would try

reportaproblem.apple.com.
